Food Service receives almost $10k local food grant
USD 373 Food Service received almost $10,000 from the Local Food for Schools (LFS) Grant! Funds are used to purchase domestic, unprocessed or minimally processed local meats. Our first purchase is from Booth Creek Wagyu from Manhattan.
Using local meats in Child Nutrition Program meals provides students with a nutritious and high-quality product, decreases opportunities for food shortages, and supports the local economy.
